WE arrived at our accommodation North of San Ramón. We knew we were going to go to Lafortuna so we picked a house near the hwy 702 to Lafortuna.

The caretakers of the tiny house put our bikes in the top of their van, secured them down and off we drive.

I showed Patricia the map of where we were staying and she dropped us off directly at the front door without a second glance. The drive was punctuated by highway traffic, heavy trucks and road construction. I was happy to be in the air conditioned comfort is the van.

You can see by the profile it would have been an uphill battle for most of the day. That accommodation was lovely.

Large and airy there was a full kitchen and easy walking distance to groceries and the bakery.

We went to a butterfly farm.

It was a 3 km bike ride away. We spent approx an hour or so in the peaceful surroundings.

They collect and monitor many different species of butterflies.
