What a beautiful morning ride we had.

The mornings road was flat and we had a lovely bike lane safely away from the busy traffic.

The beach bike lane was punctuated by crashing waves. It was pleasant.

There were a few interesting spots along the trail when the lane just stopped suddenly.

During the afternoon, however, The road turned decidedly upward and the traffic, trucks and buses made the ride, for me, unpleasant.

We would ride for about 100m then stop to let cars/trucks pass and then go on another 100m we crept along this way seemingly forever until e saw the dot on the map become clear.

We we’re encouraged when we got an email from the accommodations that there was a black gate and yellow key pad to put in the code for the gate. We spotted the gate and were thankful that we had all the information we needed for a seamless self check in.

However,

the code we were given in the email didn’t work!

We called the property owner who said that the caretaker would be right down to let us in.….….

No one came.

We waited.

No one came.

We called again. The owner said send me a picture of the gate. Maybe you’re at the wrong gate.

He confirmed it was the right gate.

Then gave us a completely different pass code number.

We were in,

and settled in to the beautiful tiny house.

The tiny house was at the top of the hill/mountain with 360 views of the surrounding area.

WE we were happy to be off the highway and safely tucked into our accommodations for the evening. After a filling pasta dinner, I put my head down and went to sleep. And slept for about 12 hours.
