here is what we’ve been up to in our last couple of days. Our last big ride, 37 km, burnt us out and we cycled about 12 km to the next little village and booked in at the monte coyote. A lovely 10 room hotel type of thing.

pool and kitchenette.

That’s all we really need. Oh yes and a place to sleep!

Our next day is a big decision. Do we do the exciting three River crossings and go around the end of the Nycoyan peninsula or cut across the middle to Jicaral.

we decided that doing the three river crossings to Saint Teresa was too dangerous on our bicycles. And we didn’t know the conditions of the river so we decided to make a route to Jicaral, and go across the peninsula.

We even contacted the River Crossing expert to see what they said. The River Crossing expert said that we could get across but to check the height of the river before going, and if there was rain, then no we couldn’t cross but if it was good weather then we could cross.

We didn’t feel comfortable not knowing the weather in the situation and having to go 20 km and then not being able to cross and then having to come 20 km back so he decided to go across the peninsula to check her out.

Google maps also identified the road that we wanted to go on the 160 Ruta del Sol, as being closed until December 4. So again we decided to not go that way.

However,

this morning,

we were greeted by the managers/owners, son and he said that we should take that way that the rivers are good and he would contact somebody who lives near the rivers so he could see what the condition of the rivers are.

, stay tuned it’s early.

It’s 8 o’clock and the sun is shining.

The wind is from the north.

Which means it’s dryer weather and the manager son has told us that we bring the summer. That means the end of the rainy season the winds from the north now and it’s a little drier and quite pleasant this morning , not the humid weather that we’ve been experiencing. We can notice that the air is a bit dryer this morning.

Will keep you updated on what’s happening bye for now
