Today was our first day with Chico, 4 yr old Bull Terrier, and Baby, 1 yr old Bull Terrier. Both are high energy dogs for about 10 minutes then they are ready to relax and chill.

Their regime is pretty flexible and their diet is completely raw food. We are talking minced chicken, sausages, steak and chicken hearts. YUM

to top it off Chico gets a bowl, approximately a cup, of milk in the morning and Baby gets a cup of milk just before bed.

Gina and Todd explained that American Bull Terriers are prone to skin issues so they keep to a raw diet to keep their skin fresh and free of any skin allergies caused by grains in processed dog food.

The grounds are spectacular and the birds that are around are beautiful. We have gotten our daily schedule from the owners Gina and Todd and it seems to be pretty easy. I was a bit nervous when Todd reviewed the use of the generator because the power goes out sometimes.

There is a pokeko bird, native to NZ that we see running around gathering bits of sheep pellets and any bugs/worms that happen along the grass.

The other bird we see frequently on the stature in the pond is the Sacred Kingfisher. It seems that "he" is longingly looking into the goldfish pond. Sometimes we see "him" swoop down only to get a nearby worm or bug. I've been out several times with the camera but as soon as the door opens "he" scoots away to the safety of the nearby tree only to re-appear once I;m out of the capture zone.
