The Waitangi holiday park was a welcome sight after a hot day of pedaling. It seemed as though we were cycling up hill the whole day.

We were concerned about the big "bump" at the middle of the day, but the end of the day was a grueling pedal as well.

See where it says 860 m climbing. Well according to Bob's Garmin we climbed 1200m

Spent a day at the Waitangi Treat Grounds where the British and Maori first signed a cooperation treaty in 1840. There is a wonderful museum there to commemorate the signing. Also, on site is the world's largest war canoe.

Rode the next day through beautiful forests with Maria from Leipzig, Germany.
