We are preparing for our next cycle tour and decided we needed to upgrade our fenders. This is because we were travelling to a place where we thought we would be encountering mud. Costa Rica. So - we (by we I mean Bob) removed our fenders and replaced them. BUT We weren't willing to spend $$ on a piece of plastic that would stick out the back and below our panniers. AND most of them wouldn't fit under our racks and panniers so we made our own. We sold our farm of thirty years and decided to be "homeless". We have/are travelling while we have our health. After seeing others who have said, I wish I could ....[fill in your own wish here] we decided we should keep our mouths shut and to quote a multimillion dollar company.... JUST DO IT. Bike touring couple. Challenge ourselves to be more conscious of surroundings other than the comfort zone we have been so blissfully accustomed to." We are a bike touring couple. Our mission statement is to "Challenge ourselves to be more conscious of surroundings other than the comfort zone we have been so blissfully accustomed."
