It's that time of the year again when we start thinking about going to somewhere warmer for the winter.

As we prepare for our next cycling tour, I thought I'd share some thoughts and feelings during the days prior to lift off.

The days leading up to a cycling tour are always a rollercoaster of emotions.

Excitement,

anticipation, and

a hint of nervousness fill the air.

There's something unusual about preparing before setting off on a new adventure that never fails to give me some anxiety. The unknown, the what-ifs, the adventure.

I certainly feel out of sorts. The regular routine has been shuffled and new thoughts, sequences and ideas creep in.

We are anticipating mud and we decided that our fenders may get clogged so we designed our own fenders.
